The End of Preschool for Matthew

So this past week has been one of craziness and a few tears. I guess when you have a big production about leaving preschool there will be tears. On Monday there was a class picnic to attend, but it rained so the picnic was indoors. It was a lot of fun but sooooo loud and 2 1/2 hrs long indoors. Needless to say even Matthew went home with a headache. I did manage to get a few photos of the day though.

These four have summer birthdays starting with Matthew on May 31st so they shared an end of the year birthday celebration.

On Tuesday we met some of Matt's friends from school at Mcdonald's for some play time and lunch. Guess who was there? Ronald himself ! We got a picture with him and let me tell you I thought Conner was going to freak out but as long as I was next to him he tolerated the goofy looking guy.

On Wed. they had backwards day. Everything was done backwards including their routine and what they wore. Here is how Matthew dressed for the day. Mind you he made such a fit wearing his clothes backwards.

Now we come to the last night at school...The Graduation or the The Jumping out of Preschool! Enjoy the videos below of each song they sang and the wonderful award Matthew got for "Most Inquisitive"(they hit the nail on the head there) followed by him "Jumping out of Preschool.

 Before Jumping out of Preschool....
 and after!
After the graduation we went downstairs to have refreshments and to view their art. It was very cute.

Then to begin our Memorial 3-Day weekend Matthew decided to learn how to ride his bike with no help. He is growing up too fast. Here is some video from his first adventure doing all of it by himself.

We spent the rest of the weekend at the pool we just joined and enjoyed some family time. Sorry this was an extremely long blog but last week was a big one for Matthew so I am not surprised at how long it is.  We hope everyone had an enjoyable Memorial Day weekend and we will be back soon with more fun stuff to share.

Our Easter Weekend with Mamaw and Papaw

Wow we just had the most amazing weekend with Mamaw Gina and Papaw Tim. They decided to join us on Easter weekend and we had a blast.

We started by going to downtown Philly to see the Liberty Bell. Then we did a 90min bus tour all over Philly to see the city. Now that we live here we probably never would have done the bus tour but we are so glad we did.  Here are some photos of the trip downtown:

  •  The Liberty Bell with Mamaw and Papaw
  •  Daddy and Conner on our bus tour.
  •  One of the oldest grave yards pictured above that sits right in the middle of the city.
  •  China town in Philly has the only building in the US made with Chinese materials only. No glue, cement, or nails to keep it together. It was put together like a puzzle.

  •  Philadelphia Art museum
  •  Above is an up-close look at the detail work on the Philadelphia Art Museum
  •  The Golden statue of Joan of Arc.
  •  The Please Touch Museum for kids that we can't wait to take the kids to. They say this place is so cool.
  •  Rocky statue above and Rocky steps below

  • We ended our evening at the Ironhill Brewery for some good food.
There was lots of time spent outside playing as well:

On Sunday it was Easter and all three boys got more than they needed in candy and toys.

After church we changed the boys out of ties and into polo shirts for their egg hunt and finally got a family pic.

  •  Getting ready for the egg hunt!

  •  Conner did very well getting his eggs but he didn't quite understand putting them in the basket.

  •  Mamaw counting the eggs to make sure we found them all.

  •  Conner wanted a little slide time during the egg hunt. :)

  •  Matthew checking out his eggs.

We hope everyone else had a great Easter as well! We miss you all!
